It is classic Pucci done in a gorgeous palette of soft hues of greens have vibrant pink flowers worked amongst the pattern

The jacket is cut with a looser

The skirt is cut to come up slightly at the spot where the ruffle ends for a little extra leg

I am dating this to the early 1950s and I have to admit that I have not seen a hat this wonderful before

The silk has a touch of a wavy ribbed texture and a hint of transparency to it that gives it an interesting visual effect

The attention to detail shown in every stitch is breathtaking and to the highest standards. A longer version with a less detailed pleat insert technique is held in the archives of The Metropolitan Museum but I prefer this version. It would have been made entirely by hand in the Dior atelier. The silk used is of the highest possible grade and the gives the dress its beautiful drape
