Antique British Brass Spitfire Model – Cast Desk Ornament on Starburst Base (c.1940s vintage condition Antique Victorian bath ceramic andA characterful and compact mid 20th century cast brass model of a Supermarine Spitfire, mounted on its original starburst base and stamped BRITISH MADE beneath. The stylised form, wartime era casting and distinctive eight point base all suggest a 1940s patriotic or trench artinspired piece, likely produced as a small desk ornament or commemorative token. The aircraft is solid cast brass with a lovely mellow, aged patina and a freely turning propeller.
