but this seems unfair at 30 years of age – this wine is still rippling with power

2023 Chablis, Valmur, Grand Cru, Bessin-Tremblay, Burgundy Large Formats Vinous (September 2018)The Bessins have just over two hectares here, with the oldest part planted in 1947. In what is a very sunny site, the Bessins have made an incredibly mineral wine. Remarkably tight and focused, with just a hint of peach fruit, there is the sense of reserve and fluidity here.
